So the first official look at the live action God of War dropped this week and oh boy, people had things to say. The photo of the actor playing Kratos started circulating and within about four minutes of hitting the internet, the comments were absolutely cooked. The general vibe was that he looked less like the Ghost of Sparta and more like a guy who wins every single argument at a family BBQ.

After the backlash started to get posted everywhere, a post appeared from the actor himself telling everyone not to believe everything they see on the internet.

"Don't believe everything you see on the internet"

Except... the post came from the Prime Video account. The official account for the people who are literally making the show. So whether that was a PR misstep, a genuine mix-up, or just someone having a very long day at the office, we may never know.

Look, early production photos for these adaptations almost never look right. Remember what people said about the Sonic movie? Same thing and that turned out great. But it did make me laugh.

Resident Evil Requiem is here and it slaps.

Resident Evil Requiem is out and from what I've played so far, it's really delivering. The series has had its ups and downs over the years but this one feels like it's got the right balance of survival horror tension and the kind of set pieces that make you put the controller down for a second and just laugh at how wild it is. Early impressions are very strong and the community response has been very positive.

We'll have a fuller rundown once I've spent more time with it but right now the vibes are good. If you're on the fence, the consensus is pretty clearly pointing toward "just buy it."

Nvidia x Resident Evil Collab

Resident Evil x Nvidia collab incoming. Hot off the Requiem launch, there's a collaboration between the RE team and Nvidia on the way. Details are still thin but given the timing it's almost certainly tied to showing off what the game can do with some proper hardware behind it. More on this as it develops.

Wolverine the video game

Wolverine game is coming soon. Wolverine is rumoured to have a release date officially announced soon. After what they did with Spider-Man and the leaks we've seen over the past couple of years, expectations are genuinely high. Wolverine deserves a proper game and this looks like it might finally be the one.

Sony pulling the plug on PC?

Sony reportedly pulling exclusives from PC. Rumours are circulating that Sony is planning to pull their exclusive titles back off PC and keep them PlayStation only again. No official confirmation but the sources aren't nothing. If it happens, it would be a pretty sharp reversal from the PC-friendly direction they seemed to be heading. Keep an eye on this one.

That's the week. As always, if something caught your attention or you think I missed something massive, just reply to this email.
